The Prom Low Down

Saturday was prom. In my head, it doesn't seem that long ago when I attended prom as a high schooler. However, I was thrown into my reality by attending as a chaperon......"Toto...I'm not in high school anymore." Don't get me wrong...I had a blast...(rarely do I ever not have fun).

Here is a visual diary along with my account of the evening with a little comparison of prom now vs. my ....ahem...younger days.

Different...not the same as high school.
Same....some things haven't changed since high school.

My date is my husband. (Different) My date was the most handsome man there. (Same!)

My shoes rocked...definitely same!

I did see ONE HIGH SIDE PONYTAIL....so different....as being sacrificed to this look as a young child, there would be NO WAY I would sport the look to prom. I asked other chaperons for clarification on the style...they agreed...a prom 'do gone terribly wrong.
I saw less sequence and more print..different. (I loved the print prom dresses...it was a different look that really made the girls stand out in the crowd.)
By 10 o'clock...I was ready to bounce to the after party...same. However, the after party consisted of a bar.....way different.
The bar led to this.......(different)................

....which led to empty glasses....

...and, undoubtedly led to dancing....same....

Basically....leave the prom for the kids and the after party for the adults.
We did roll on home at 2:30AM (different).....and yes, my parents were waiting up on us...(SAME!)
