Kate on "Today"

Kate Gosselin was on the Today Show this morning answering questions about her husband's, Jon, alleged marital infidelity.

Kate said that she is "very hesitant to believe any of it. It goes with the territory." Jon was home taking care of the 8 children, but he did send the following statement:

"These allegations are false and just plain hurtful. As I adjust to the attention that comes from being in the public eye, I need to be more careful and aware of who I am associating with and where I am spending my time. But the bottom line is, I did not cheat on Kate. I am sorry for putting my family in this awkward position, given some poor decisions and bad judgment I've made recently. I am working through this difficult time with my family. My family is my top priority."

The story on OMG! goes on to tell about the lady, Deanna Hummel, who is the person that the alleged affair.

As previously reported on, Deanna Hummel, the elementary school teacher who allegedly had an affair with Jon, has also insisted there is nothing romantic between her and 32-year-old Jon.
"We're just friends," Deanna previously told
People. "It's absurd that anyone would think otherwise."
However, several people reportedly close to the situation insist the affair is very real, according to Us Weekly.
One of those people is Jason Hummel - Deanna's brother.
In coming forward, Jason insisted he was trying to protect his "naive sister."
"She's a nice girl, not a home wrecker," Jason told
Us Weekly. "This isn't healthy for her. But she is refusing to help herself, so here I am trying to help her myself."
To support his story, Jason provided photos and video of his sister with a man that appears to be Jon to the magazine. In the video clip, the man is seen leaving the home
Deanna and Jason share around 7:30 AM on March 13 - a month before Jon and Deanna were photographed together leaving a bar in Redding, Penn.
Jason claims Jon has visited their home on several occasions.
"[They] pretty much stay locked away like two teenagers," Jason said of Jon's alleged visits. "It was weird. He's a grown man."
Jon has admitted to being seen out at a local bar with Deanna - a decision he said "showed poor judgment."
"Like most people, I have male and female friends and I'm not going to end my friendships just because I'm on TV," Jon said in a statement to
Access Hollywood. "However, being out with them late at night showed poor judgment on my part." opinion....there is definite marital problems due to these rumors. However, those children will always be their first priority. I think that they will stay together for the duration of their show and their children.

I hope that I am wrong.

  1. I agree with you. I don't exactly understand how the chic's brother thinks that posting pics and video for the media will "help" his sister. Interesting. Thanks for gathering all the research for me :-)
