Note Worthy News...or Gossip

Friday at 2:25am golf's wonder boy, Tiger Woods, was reportedly in an accident. He was pulling out of his driveway and hit a pole along with a fire hydrant. Apparently, his wife had to use one of his golf clubs to 'bust out' the rear window on his black Cadillac Escalade to get him out. He and his wife are both refusing to talk with police. However, he did release this statement.

"As you all know, I had a single-car accident earlier this week, and sustained some injuries. I have some cuts, bruising and right now I'm pretty sore.
This situation is my fault, and it's obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I'm human and I'm not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn't happen again.
This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way. Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible.
The only person responsible for the accident is me. My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false.
This incident has been stressful and very difficult for Elin, our family and me. I appreciate all the concern and well wishes that we have received. But, I would also ask for some understanding that my family and I deserve some privacy no matter how intrusive some people can be. "

Why is he keeping it so secretive and private? Well, my guess is due to allegations that he had an affair with an event planner, Rachel Uchitel.

Both she and Woods have denied the rumors, claiming that it was false. However, Tiger did tell a friend that he needed to go get a "Kobe sized" present for his wife. What is a Kobe sized present you might ask...just look at his wife's massive bling on her finger. She got it when he cheated on her...hmmm...Tiger....?

Raise the Roof for Thanksgiving!

We had a fabulous Thanksgiving filled with fantastic food, family, and friends. Big C wasn't too sure about turkey, but enjoyed entertaining all of his family.

I am just so very thankful for this little guy, my big guy, and my little girl (not to forget our family and friends too). Each year I just have more and more to be thankful for and I couldn't feel more blessed! Today was spent at home cleaning and getting our house Christmas ready with our decorations. This was much more relaxed than I could have imagined. Maybe it was because I am slow moving this days with Baby C in my belly....or....it could be that Big C slept in until 10:30AM..which meant that we all did too! Even MORE to be thankful for! I'll definitely "raise the roof" for that!

Headbands, Hats, and Bows...OH MY!

There are just some things that you don't buy for little boys that you do buy for little girls. Here is where I am starting to get 'in trouble'. I'm so used to buying for the three little loves of my life....who all happen to be boys...Big C, and cousins Collin and Oliver! Now that Baby C is a girl, I get to buy girlie things and I have to admit that I am a little out of my league, since I think that she NEEDS it all!
For instance, I just knew that she had to have a few knitted hats. So, what do I do...I buy TEN in all different colors, because well...a girl has got to accessorize! So then, I thought that she needed bows to add to the hats. However, my mind started racing...what if she grows out of her hats before she has hair? What I am I going to do then so people know she is a girl? So, of course, off to the Internet to purchase TWELVE knitted headbands. Tonight I found my self, sitting at the kitchen table, surrounded by headbands, hats, and bows all of the matching possibilities...which I started to get a little overwhelmed...what if I pair up a bow with hat, but there is a better pair choice? For example, I bought this adorable zebra print and red bow...but which at to put it with...

the red hat?

the black hat?
the white hat?

Oh GOODNESS!...I forgot about the the head bands too!

And...when I mention head bands...I do mean head bands! Here is a very select FEW from Baby C's collection.

Did I mention that bows are all interchangeable?
Oh, did I also mention that I am slightly crazy?
P.S....Big C doesn't think much about the head bands...especially when he was 'forced' to try some on....

Jon and Kate Plus 8 SERIES FINALE!

Well...this very well may be that very LAST post ever from me on the Jon and Kate Gosselin saga....drama.... Tonight is the last episode....EVER....of their ex-hit TLC show, Jon and Kate Plus 8. There will be interviews not only by Kate, but by Jon too. TLC gives the following description for the show tonight...

In the series finale Kate and the kids milk cows at a dairy farm. Jon and the kids learn about firefighting and help out at a fire station. Then, Jon and Kate speak about recent life events, the series and the ups and downs of the last few years.

In "recent life events" I am guessing that this won't incorporate their legal issues over money, Jon's "girlfriends", or Kate's "possible" affairs....don't get your hopes up, I doubt any new juicy news will be told.
Regardless of who's side you are on...there is no denying how great Kate Gosselin looks...I mean, even though she had a tummy tuck, I personally think that she looks FANTASTIC!

What's Big C Up To?

At 1 year and 10 months and....some days....Big C is up to A LOT! Not only is he speaking, speaking, speaking....he is busy, busy, busy! Some of his most common phrases include..."more peeeeaaase!".."(s)nack peeeaaase"..."Dad-das truck" ...."Mom-mas car"... "Dad-da go bye-bye" ..."Sanson ball!"....just to name a few. He can also name all of his body parts on his head and face along with his fingers, toes, and belly. He can name all of the Mickey Mouse characters and all of Handy Manny's tools. And I haven't even touched on naming footballs, baseballs, basketballs, or animals and the noises that they make! (His favorite is a cow..."MOOOOOO") My personal favorite is not only when he says "Mom-ma" but last night he said Lacey for the first time...even though it came out as "Racey"...it sounded perfect to me!

Big C still loves watching Mickey Mouse....but if you were cozy, comfy as this, you would too!

He also loves to wear our hats and shoes.....don't ask!

Oh...and he still LOVES his big boy bed!
Does he look like he has a hard life or what?!

Baby C Update

Today we had our second ultrasound to see the status of the cyst on Baby C's head. Thank you so much to everyone who said a prayer for her, because it worked! THE CYST IS GONE!!!!!!! Miraculously, the cyst disappeared on its own and our baby girl is completely healthy...and a little feisty! She is measuring a little bigger than 26 weeks, but the due date is still the same. We did check to make sure that she is still a girl...if you spent as much money on monogramming and pink that I have, you would too! Alas...still a GIRL! YAH! Baby C was very content and spent most of her time sucking on her thumb and blinking her eyes. At one point, she did turn her head and stick her tongue out at us numerous times as if to say.."See! I told you I was ok!" Every time you get to see your baby in an ultrasound is a total blessing and the most special experience. Today, she was big enough that when she moved, I not only saw it, but felt it too. Words can not explain the connect and bond I feel with my baby girl. I just feel so blessed and fortunate to be able to have not only Baby C, but Big C too.

Since Baby C is further along, her features are easier to be seen. Here is a picture of her face...don't worry if you can't see it..she is there and HEALTHY!!

MTV's THE CITY

Do you watch this? I have to admit that I do watch many MTV shows...True Life, 16 and Pregnant, Engaged and Underage, My Super Sweet 16....just to name a few. So, when my sister texted on Saturday evening asking me if I had seen the preview for the THE CITY...I thought it was a little odd.

Then, she precedes to tell the guy who goes on a blind date with the main....ugh...I guess character/person (Whitney).....looks a lot like our cousin. After a few more text messages...turns out, it is him! My mom texted him to ask and he confirmed it! It is crazy for us to see our cousin, who we have grown up with over years swimming with in the summer, getting together for family Holidays, going to many graduations together....has a guest spot on an MTV show! I know that this is a totally random post....it is totally random that it happened! If you have missed the previews....like me since I don't watch it...you can check it out here at the MTV website. It will be airing on Tuesday night at 10:30...my tivo is already set!

Back In The Day....

I was doing my nightly ritual of searching all of my favorite websites/blogs when I got on my facebook account. In the news feed, I saw where one of my fellow colleagues...who's daughter just so happens to be in my Kindergarten class..posted about her daughter getting her very first boy phone call. It got me thinking....

For starters, I tried to remember back to the first time a boy called me...totally couldn't remember, but I know I had to be older than KINDERGARTEN! Then that got me thinking to how many hours I was on the phone when I was in elementary/middle school. I can remember some nights, going home from school, getting on the phone, and talking anywhere between 4-5 hours straight! However, I can't remember about what there was to talk about for so long. Now, the thought of spending that many consecutive hours on the phone makes me cringe!
Man, I'm getting old!
Then...I started thinking in the future to when Big C wants to call a girl...gasp.... if that will be in Kindergarten, I better start preparing myself for three years from now!

Couldn't Live Without!

Shopping/buying for a little girl is just sooo different than for little boys. For one...everything is in PINK! Two...there is so much more to choose from than for boys! (It's a little overwhelming to tell you the truth.) However, after looking at Baby C's dresser brimming over with clothes, I seem to have gotten the "hang of it".

I knew that Baby C could NOT LIVE without bloomers.....yes, I realize that this was...is....an over exaggeration. Of course she could live without bloomers, but I could not live without her having bloomers...no exaggeration!

I found this great website...Stitches 'N Smiles...that monogrammed bloomers...in MY price range!
I was very excited to get these in the mail and I have already started planning her that she can wear with them.

I have also been on the hunt for a new diaper bag...out with the old and used, in with the new and monogrammed! I got this adorable diaper bag with changing pad and matching insert purse from the same website. I fell in love with it right away...again, couldn't live without it...

....and it looks like I won't have to!
As for Baby C's room...it is almost done...however it is now a holding cell for all Christmas presents...pictures coming...uh...soon?

Stolen Sunday

Yesterday was absolutely BEA-UTIFUL! It felt like we had stolen a day from August and inserted it into November. We would normally just open all of the windows and lay around saying things like "Can you believe how nice the breeze is?" or "It looks so nice outside!" However, this was all before Big C...... We decided to make the most of this day and spent a great deal of time.....before football started....at one of his favorite places....the park.

His shrieks of delight started about a mile away from the park and lasted until it was time to leave....which was replaced by his signature..."No Way."

Of course, we chorused him by asking each other...."Can you believe this awesome weather?"
"NO WAY!"

Baby Legs

I just bought Baby C these adorable leggings called Baby Legs. You can find them many places, in many designs, but I actually found these at Target for less than $10!
So, of course, I had to start playing around with outfits that Baby C could wear. I thought that they lady bug and flower legs would look so cute with this green stripped long sleeved onesie...since she will be wrapped up in blankets for about the first month or so until it gets warm.
How precious is this little white onesie with the pink bow and "blush" baby legs!

Oh! The possibilities are ENDLESS with Baby Legs!

Double Swoon

I don't think that it is healthy for a preggo to swoon this much in two days...but I just bought the new Michael Buble CD....and a swoon was necessary!

I'm CRAZY IN LOVE with his whole CD. One of my favorite songs on his CD is "Haven't Met You Yet". But I'll let you judge it for yourself....

...if you don't swoon by the end of the song, I'll be surprised!

Swoon.....

That's right ladies.....eat your heart out!

I think that it looks like he is whispering in my ear...not getting ready to bite my neck!
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
I'm thinking that this should be our family Christmas card this year...you think? I so can NOT wait for the NEW MOON movie to come out on November 20th!

(Yes, I did steal this idea from my sister's blog...I'm not ashamed, we make a very cute couple....aside from the whole wanting to suck my blood thing.)

Rattled!

Quick (it took me about 2 nights), easy, fun read......Rattled!.....is about a 26 year old woman from NY whom gets pregnant by her boyfriend of 1 month...who just happens to be from Indiana. This book is about how she copes during the pregnancy on her own and vows to make a good life for her son.

The author, Christine Coppa...pronounced "cop-pa" ....wrote about her life starting out on a blog for the ever popular Glamour magazine. The blog did so well, that she turned it into a book..very similar to one of my favorite authors..Jen Lancaster. (Side note, her new book comes out May 4, 2010...so excited! She recently released the book cover on her blog.) Her blog, Storked!, is a great read also. You can click on her blog header below to be taken to her blog.

Seriously, how cute is she and her son, Jack Domenic?!
