New Year's Resoultions

Every year at this time, I try to come up with my New Year's Resolution. It's usually pretty typical...lose 10-15 pounds (and keep it off) out less more healthy.....blah...blah...blah... Well, as I am trying to figure out what my NYR should be, I thought that I would lend a hand to some celebrities to help them decide what their New Year's Resolutions should be.

Britney Spears....keep the underwear on and your legs closed....stop focusing on yourself and put your two little boys at the very top of your priority list. I'll bet you find your life so much more enjoyable if you do!

Victoria Beckham....EAT...something....anything....just EAT!

Jon Gosselin....ugh...enough already! Take out the earrings, stop smoking, stop being a douche bag...tuck your tail in between your legs and go begging back to your ex-wife...clearly, you can't do any better than her nor can you survive on your own!

Tiger Woods....let your "game" play on the golf course, not in strip clubs, bars, and random hotel rooms....aka...keep it in your pants!

Maybe...just'll get your family....and your privacy...back.

Nadya Suleman....aka...Octomom.....STOP REPRODUCING! If you don't have your own reality TV show by now, it's not going to happen!

Stephanie of the Twilight Saga series...don't stop writing!!!! I don't care how rich you it for it to promote literacy...just DO IT!

Oh, for any of you who have read the excerpt from her new book she is working on...."Midnight Sun"...that is basically "Twilight" for Edward's perspective...and yes, I've read it about 100 times! is a mock up for the book cover....your welcome!

Perhaps, my New Year's Resolution should be to be more helpful to others......hmmm...

Santa Says "Ho Ho Ho!"

Big C must have been good this past year, 'cause Santa emptied his sleigh at our house!

Christmas morning, before Big C got a hold of his gifts.

" I only have eyes.....for yooouuuuu...." Mickey + Minnie + Pluto = HUGE HIT!
This little boy is in HEAVEN!

As if we didn't have enough balls flying through the air at our house with basketballs, footballs, bowling balls, soccer balls....Santa brought Big C his very own Mickey Mouse golf club set.....four more balls to chase around!

So far, however, Big C just carries around the golf clubs, hitting them on the floor...couches....Sampson...anything that will stand still long enough for him get a good whack attack.
Sigh.....I can't help but wonder how different it will be next year with Big C and Baby C and gasp...dolls!

Big C's Birthday

In a couple of weeks, we will be having Big C's BIG FAT BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION, but since yesterday was his actual birthday, I had to make is special for him. I'm pretty firm on keeping his birthday all about him, especially since Christmas is so close. I really want to keep a his actual birthday very special for him and make it be all about him.

After his favorite dinner...cheese pizza with a Mickey Mouse "dinner movie" he got to blow out his Happy Birthday candles on TWO cupcakes...since he is two.

Then he literally dug into the frosting of the cupcake...only the frosting though.
After a nice warm bath....presents!

After opening so many presents for Christmas...these birthday gifts didn't stand a chance!

Big C's favorite gift? Shockingly it wasn't the diapers...haha....he LOVES his Doodle Pad!

It is still so hard for me to believe that he is actually two years old! I took a few extra minutes when tucking him in bed last night to tell him just a couple...ok, maybe like ten.....more times that I loved him.
His response... " I know Mom, wuv-eww Mom."

Baby C Update

31 weeks....feeling good! Baby C is still cooking away in my preggo belly. We visited our doctor yesterday who thanked us profusely for being such easy patients for him.

I can tell Baby C is getting stronger and growing out of room. I have less kicks and more of what feels like her pushing to get comfortable. She is not afraid to throw an elbow or knee to make her point that she NEEDS MORE ROOM! Sleeping has began to be a bit of a challenge...finding a comfortable spot to lay in that she likes also...little diva! We are hoping that in two months, we'll get to meet her! We are all ready for her...bags are packed, nursery is done, clothes are washed and put away...all we are missing is her!
I know how I told myself that I wouldn't buy anything else for her until she got here...especially after doing her laundry, trust me...she has so many clothes, she will not be able to wear them all! However...accessories aren't clothes...right? RIGHT?! So, I found these super cute bows on etsy for her hair or to attach to head bands or hats if she doesn't have any hair. However, with the crazy heart burn that I have, I'm assuming that she will come out with hair so long that we'll have to get it cut!

Sledding/ Snow Bunnies

What is there to do in Indiana when a little bit of snow falls on the ground? SLEDDING OF COURSE! Big C experienced his first time ever sledding this weekend and as you can tell by the pictures, he loved it!

Big C and cousin Collin....seriously attached at the hip all weekend...seriously one of the cutest things I have ever seen! It makes my heart melt every time I see them together... "Where's Co-win at?" "Cay-ton! Come on Cay-ton"

The...ahem...snow bunnies...getting these four back inside was a challenge! I don't know who had more fun...the two little ones or the two bigger ones!

Papa with his two oldest grandsons...Oliver is still too little for this, but he enjoyed watching out the window. I think that next year, they will need a bigger sled!
Big C was having too much fun to stop....

"Don't worry Big C....there will be more sledding and more snow in the future!"

Welcome Ella!

My dear friend Bethany had her second child on Thursday. Ella Layne is weighing in at a petite 6lbs 14 oz and 18.5 inches long. She is absolutely beautiful and perfect!

Baby C and I visited them today before they left to go home from the kids are allowed at the hospital under the age of 15, but since Baby C is still in my belly, they made an exception! Ha! Bethany looks amazing! Jonathan is beaming like a proud Daddy! Big Brother Carter is so excited to meet his new little sister!

A Poof and a Snuggie!!!

I think that after three days of trying the poof, I am definitely getting better at it...or at least more confident in my abilities that I will post it on the Internet. I'm nowhere near as good as the video though (wasn't she just adorable!). This was after a long day of school with 22 Kindergarten students, so be gentle!

Another confession.....I've always secretly wanted a SNUGGIE and guess what, today I got one! My teaching savior/best friend....and I exchanged gifts this week for Christmas with it being the last week of school before our winter break and she got me a SNUGGIE!!! (She got me a Breast Cancer Awareness SNUGGIE in which proceeds of it go to finding a cure for Breast Cancer and promoting Brest Cancer awareness and extra bonus!)

I'm so excited about it! She also got me a gift certificate to my favorite coffee place...STARBUCKS! So, as soon as I finish this post, I am going to lay on the couch, drink my Starbucks, and relax until Big C wakes up from his nap....ahh....this Christmas season is off to a FANTASTIC start!

Kendra's Baby!

After making me...well, not personally me, really everyone....Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett finally show off their newest edition to their family, Hank Jr.

You can purchase the OK! magazine on Thursday which not only has pictures, but also more information on the birth of their son. Kendra says " the good thing being induced is it's like planning a trip, just very calm." She explained that "We ate a huge dinner before we came to the hospital. I ate a whole batch of brownies because I was nervous. No wonder he's 9 pounds!"

Yeah, not going to lie....I'll probably have to buy this issue!

**Oh, and as for the "non Bump It hair poofing" that I tried today, I think that it actually turned out OK...or I should say that it did not discourage me from trying it again tomorrow! I was going to take a picture and post it, but apparently my camera is MIA (Missing In Action). I promise to post a picture of my "poof" do!

Can It Be Done?

A while back I came clean about my lack of hair volume and confessed that I sometimes....ok..more times than not....wear a Bump It to give myself the extra hair volume that I lack.

Well, tonight I came acrossed a blog that gave a 12 minute tutorial on how to "poof" your hair....minus the Bump It. Curiosity got the best of my, and yes, I spent 12 minutes of my life watching this video, Hair Poofing 101. If that wasn't bad enough, it actually made me think "hey, I can do that!" (Not to mention that I found the Southern accents totally cute!) So, tomorrow, I will be trying to get the hair poof and volume that I so badly crave WITHOUT the help of my Bump It. The secret to their great poofy volume: Hair Spray...
...and lots of it! I'll keep you posted on my non-Bump It poof...wish me luck!
