Big C at the Wheel

Yesterday, Big C, Baby C, and I had a wonderful play date with some amazing ladies. Big C was the only male there and he LOVED it! Baby C got in some girl time with some lovely ladies her age....

While Big C discovered the wonderful world of driving! He was so proud of himself! He drove Miss Olivia and Miss Macy around and it made this Mama so proud of him! I was laughing hysterically the whole time!

The pink Barbie Jeep didn't phase him at all! However, as soon as we got home, I did start charging his Esclade...watch out world, Big C is at wheel!

The Michael Buble Concert

First of all...I have not listened to any other music other than Michael Buble since the concert. Seeing and hearing him live in person just solidified my love of his music! We got to Cincinnati early in the afternoon. After checking into our hotel, we went out for an early dinner then made sure we made it to the concert in plenty of time! After the opening act, Naturally 7, I thought we would have to wait a while for Michael to start singing, but actually, he started right away!

And ladies, he did not disappoint! He sang most of his songs, which was amazing. He also talked a lot in between songs. Michael Buble really is a 'guys guys'. He loves sports and keeps up with them. He even made a joke about Tiger Woods alleged infidelities (are they alleged if Tiger admitted to them?). Even Curt admitted that it "wasn't that bad" as he thought it would be. I of course was in total fan mode! Screaming, singing along, and shedding a tear or two. All in all, it was such a fun and wonderful evening! I had a great time with Curt, it almost felt like we were newlyweds again...except for the whole me having to pump thing! Even though I had a great time, I still couldn't wait to get back to my babies, Big C and Baby C!

Naturally 7

So...the Michael Buble concert was AMAZING!! I'll post more on it, in FULL detail later, but I first need to tell you about the opening act, Naturally 7. This group has 7 gentlemen that make all of their music through something that they call vocal play. They don't use any instruments other than their voices...think a capella mixed in the beat boxing, but way cooler. Curt and I were totally blown away by their talent. Here is an example of their amazing talents!

My favorite song of theirs, Wall of Sound when they performed it on The Ellen Show.

These guys will be added to my ipod for sure!

Manic Monday

I've been super busy this Monday with cleaning up from the weekend, doing all the laundry and bedding, little grocery shopping, taking care of Baby C....whom I might change her name to Pukerella. Baby girl can't shoot a basketball yet, but she can certainly shoot her 'food' across the room effectively landing it down my back, front, and anything I am touching at the time.

Baby C finally had her first bottle (filled with my milk) this weekend. I was worried that once she goes bottle, she won't go back. However, she easily went to both with ease.

Why did we wait so long to introduce the bottle? Well, I wanted her first bottle to given by her Daddy. I wanted it to be a special bonding time for them and with Curt's success this basketball season, he wasn't home much so wait we must.

We couldn't wait much longer because we go see MICHAEL BUBLE in concert this week! I'm so excited to see him in concert, but very apprehensive to leave my kids over night. I've never been good about leaving Big C and throwing in Baby C just makes it twice as hard!

**How's your NCAA Tournament Braket doing? I'm still beating my husband, however Kansas losing is greatly going to hurt me in the long run. Congratulations to the TWO Indiana teams still in the tournament, Butler and my Purdue Boilermakers!! BOILER UP!!

Random Tid Bits

Did you know that humans aren't the only ones who snore? Many animals have been observed snoring including dogs, cats, cows, oxen, sheep, leopards, elephants, camels, lions, horses, mules, and zebras. However, none of them snore as loud as my husband!
Just a random tid bit for you!

Happy St. Patricks' Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day from me and my two little lucky charms! (Yes, that wall is green behind me and no I did not paint it for today! ha!)

This morning we had cinnamon rolls with green icing for breakfast.
Big C thought that they were "finger licking" good!

Just a few touches of green around the house....green water in our flowers! Not only is it festive, its also a great science experiment and teaching opportunity about plants. Try it at home and see what happens to your flowers! (White carnations work the best, or celery with leaves on the end.)

Sampson even got in the festive spirit...

...however my husband did tell me I was crazy....guess I got a little bit'o leprechaun in me today!

Getting Ready for St. Patty's Day

I LOVE St. Patrick's Day!! I don't know why...maybe it is because everyone is wearing green and themed...or because it signals the beginning of spring....or because of GREEN BEER! Any whoooo....I started getting ready for it today. I decided to 'dress up' some strawberries for the occasion. By melting some white chocolate and dying it green....

...adding a little bit of vegetable oil to the chocolate..

I dipped each strawberry in a light green chocolate first.
Once that cooled, I dipped them again in a darker green and added buttons and my version of a bow tie.

These strawberries are all dressed up with no where to go!

Mmmm...can you say, PARTY IN YOUR MOUTH!!!

Regional Finals and March Madness

Have you ever had a themed weekend? I mean, like on Monday when you look back at your weekend and every day has a common theme to it? I definitely had one of those weekends and the theme was: BASKETBALL!

Saturday started our themed weekend bright and early with the first round of Regional basketball games. Curt and his Lancers won the first game in overtime. However, they weren't as successful in the the Regional Finals and got second place. They ended with the best season in school's history since 1973 with a record of and a Sectional victory. I'm so proud of Curt and all of his hard work. I'm sad that basketball season has came to an end, but thrilled to have my husband home!
Sunday officially kicked off:
with Selection Sunday. As soon as "The Selection Show" was over, I got my brackets filled out! I filled out two brackets for fun and had two different NCAA National Basketball Champions....which I'll let you know at a later time! Have you filled out your brackets yet? Who is your prediction to win the tournament?

I realize that if you aren't from Indiana, basketball may not be as big for you. It seems like for my family, March Madness is just as big as Christmas! Maybe that is because the

is held only 20 minutes from my house. All I can say is that from now until April 5th, its all basketball, all the time!

Baby Shower!

Last Saturday, before WE WON SECTIONAL!!!!...my girlfriend had her baby shower for her first child. She is having a baby boy coming in a couple of months. I couldn't be more excited for her! (Yes, I got my hair 'chopped' off and highlighted...it feels so much better!)

I usually give a themed gift of bath supplies, but I decided to instead to a diaper bag themed gift. I had this adorable diaper bag made her for and filled it, or over filled it...whatever...with everything that I could think of that she would need for it. A case of diapers, wipes, bottles, nipples, clothes, butt paste, destin, pacifiers, changing pad, more clothes, lotion, hooter hider, etc.
I can NOT wait to meet the new baby boy!!!
