Baby C Update

"Are bags are packed.....we're ready to go!"

We thought yesterday may be the day that Baby C decided to however, we were sadly mistaken. After being woken up by a contraction at 4:15am and having contractions all day, I left school early and made an appointment to see the doctor to get things checked out.

The doctor hooked me up to monitor Baby C since she wasn't moving much and checked me to see my progress. Baby C looks "great" and her heart rate was perfect. I have made some progress...2cm dilated and 70% effaced. The doctor told us it could still be 2 days or 2 hours since my labor is quick. When I went to the hospital with Big C, I was 3 cm and 80% effaced. SO.....with this news that her arrival could be just around the corner, Curt and I decided that it would be in every one's best interest....mine, his, Baby C's, my co-workers, my students, etc...that I start my maternity leave now. Right now, it is a waiting game. I have a doctor's appointment later in the day....hopefully there will be more progress so we can meet our little girl soon!
