A Little Sunday Landscaping
A couple of months ago, we added a bigger concrete patio to the back of our house. We replaced our door mat sized concrete slab with a 10X15 sq.feet slab. We have loved it, but I have hated how unfinished it looks. Today, I decided to firmly welcoming it to our house with a little landscaping. This is what it looked like before I "dug" in.
I leveled the ground around the side edges and place a plastic tarp over the ground so that grass and weeds would be discouraged from growing there.
Originally, I wanted to add soil and plant some shrubs...but the I was reminded that we had two shrubs when we moved in and I hated them, so we tore them out. We decided to just add decorative rock instead....lower maintenance and cheaper in the long run.

Reaching a Whole New Level!
My dorkyness (no that is not a real word...but I am going to trademark it...damn, another level has been reached!) has reached a WHOLE new level! Tonight, we are having another game night. I thought that it would be fun to buy a new game for us to play. So, I head to my trusty Target because I know that it will never let me down. As I'm scanning the wall of games, suddenly, my heart skips a beat and my breathe catches in my chest....were my eyes deceiving me? I turn away and turn back again and there it is....
THE TWILIGHT BOARD GAME!!!
Of course, I snatch it up quickly, hoping that no one tackles my pregnant booty to the ground to steal it from me in their haste to purchase it also...(even though there are 5 identical games on the wall for purchase)...and rush to the check out lane like a running back races to the end zone (it is football season after all).
I hurry home and show my husband my purchase, not caring at all that his eyes might get stuck in the back of his head from the enormous eye roll he gave me. After lunch, I force him to begin playing the game with me.....in which I envision myself transported to Forks and mingling with the Cullens.....

Show Us Your Shower..Wedding Shower!
So...I spent a solid 30 minutes searching from pictures from my wedding shower, but I can't find them!! I decided to think of my ideal wedding shower now....four years later!
It would start with getting a bunch of my girlfriends together and having a fun lunch...some place like Benihana's would be amazing!
After that, we would have to be in the Chicago area to visit the 1154 LILL Studio and custom make purses for ourselves!

abc ME READ
I'm excited to let everyone know that I have teamed up with three amazing, talented ladies to create programs that not only teach children to read, but also instills in them the love of books and the enthusiasm to become life long learners!
We have created a letter program that focuses on identify all of the letters of the alphabet and a sound program that focuses on letter sound recognition. The programs are ready for you to purchase and easy to use! We designed them especially for teachers, parents, or any individual who wants to help teach a child to read. The super cool thing is that you can buy our program and turn it around to create a business of tutoring for yourself!
Another amazing program that we have created is Book Clubs for children. You all know how much I LOVE reading.. (I mean seriously, I have began re-reading the Twilight series and am already half way through the third book...I started reading on Saturday.) These book clubs are so much fun that the children don't even realize that they are learning!! We currently have book clubs that focus on learning the letters of the alphabet. During every session of the book club, your child will hear a book being read to them, create a super cute craft, and make a yummy snack that focuses around the letter. Not only can you have your child join a book club, YOU can host the book clubs in your own home and earn some extra money simpley by purchasing the book club program and craft kit. We are offering a trial sample that you can purchase for less than $10! You get three of our book clubs....what a steal!
I'm so excited about this new venture! I have used the letter and sound programs in my classroom and I attribute my students progress towards becoming readers through these programs. Please check out our website and our blog. If you like what you see, leave us a message and grab our blog button for your blog!
Help us instill the love of reading and learning in children everywhere!

Miss Universe 2009
I guess I am just a glutton for punishment...but last night, I curled up in bed with my jar of olives and watched the Miss Universe 2009 pageant. However, after the swim suit competition, this pregnant chick switched from the olives to the oranges...like that's going to help! (I have to admit, it was because I ran out of olives!)
Congratulations to Miss Venezuela who is now the 2009 Miss Universe.
While watching, I couldn't help but wonder if any of the little girls from the reality show "Toddlers and Tiaras" were watching. But then, it hit me, the Miss Universe show started at 9:00pm, I bet that they were all in bed!
Hope their Moms tivoed it for them!

Yes, I'm Preggers!
...and no, that wasn't my actual "pee stick". I threw that thing out MONTHS ago!
I am currently 15 weeks along and am housing an orange in my uterus.
I am currently 15 weeks along and am housing an orange in my uterus.
Which is actually very funny to me. Have you ever heard the saying "you are what you eat"? Well, last night, I ate about 3 oranges in one sitting....guess the baby really is an orange!!! So far, this pregnancy has been mirroring my pregnancy with Big C. I was tired a lot in my first trimester, then one weekend that was paired with food poisoning...ugh! I did get back into the gym last night after taking off my first trimester from working out due to being so tired. I know how some women's blogs become when they are pregnant....all about their growing waistlines and such. However, I promise you that I will continue to blog about important things...such as the latest celebrity gossip, reality TV, and whatever randomness that I can think of!

Game Night Choices
This weekend we invited friends over to grill out and have a game night. We had a few games picked out, however we spent 4 hours battling for total world domination in the game of Risk.
Sadly...I didn't win, but at 1:00am I was more concerned with sleeping in my bed rather than Global Domination. (Thankfully, Big C decided to sleep in the next day until 10:00am....Have I mentioned lately how much I love my son?!!!)
We also like to play Apples to Apples when we are in a big group of people.
I haven't played this game in a few years...but I always loved the game of Life. It was fun to see how many kids, where I was going to live, what my career was going to be, and etc. It brings me back to the days in elementary when my girlfriends and I would play "MASH WRAP" where we had to choose three boys to marry, three places to live, three cars to drive, three colors for our wedding, and much more.

A Kardashian Preggers?
The oldest Kardashian sister...Kourtney just announced that she is pregnant with ex-boyfriend turned boyfriend again Scott Disick's baby. The baby is due around Christmas time. The close knit family is thrilled...after the first initial shock wore off of course.
Bruce Jenner...step-daddy to Kourtney....said they they were acting as if the baby was a "new puppy."
Hmmm...they are in for a rude awakening if they think that a baby is like a puppy!

A Hair Make-Over
Last night I watched:
I don't watch this show very often, but I do enjoy it. The episode on last night was the one where the girls get their "model hair make-overs." Of course, there were some girls who loved it and wouldn't stop looking at themselves in the mirror, then there was the girl who cried because her hair got cut super short. Watching this, it got me thinking. Maybe Big C needed a hair make over to officially welcome him into the toddler world. Since it was bath night anyway, I thought it was a perfect time to experiment.
**Cue cheesy movie montage music now.**
We tried the slick back, wind in my face look.
The Mohawk was rockin'.
The Comb-Over...we'll wait until he is 80 for that!
The Alfalfa...you can tell by looking at his face that he thinks that I am just a little off of my rocker!
