Big C recently learned how to "fake sneeze" and LOVE to entertain us with it at dinner time....or any time really! I thought I would share his new found "talent".
If you didn't catch it at the end, he says "Tay-ten sneeeeeeze!"

MTV's The Jersey Shore
MTV has a reality show...similar to "The Real World" however this is called "The Jersey Shore." The premise of the show is seven (there was 8 but one cast member was asked to leave) Italian women and men who are in their 20's who live and work together at the Jersey Shore.
Have you seen it? Well...why is it becoming such a hit? These people are hard care proud Italians. They call themselves Guidos and Guidettes. Now, I am not Italian, so I did have to look up definitions of each.
Wikipedia.org defines a guido as:

Wikipedia.org defines a guido as:
"Guido is a slang term for a working class urban Italian American. The guido stereotype is multi-faceted. Primarily, it is used as a demeaning term towards Italian Americans, as the word guido is derived from either the Italian proper name Guido or a conjugation of the Italian verb guidare. More recently, it has come to encompass Italians who conduct themselves as thugs with an overtly macho attitude."
The Urban Dictionary has it's own definition...but this is a PG-13 blog, so you'll just have to go here to check it out!
ANYWAYS....each of the cast members have nicknames..."The Situation", "Sammi Sweetheart", "JWOW", "Snookie", etc. Of course....I had to find out what my name would be if I was a "guidette".
So, from now on out...you can refer to me as my guidette name: L-POP

Baby C Update
Well......I'm not so sure how many more doctor appointments Baby C and I will be having as "one". First, let me start by saying that she should be about this size....
..however, she is measuring more this size!
Yes, that is true...I am 35 weeks, but measuring at 38 weeks. Baby C's heart rate looks excellent and obviously, she is growing really well too! Dr. B did check me today to see if there was any progression on the labor front. I have been feel lots of Braxton Hicks contractions, some making it hard to walk with as tight as my stomach gets. Not painful, but a little uncomfortable. While checking me, he was surprised to discover that I am 1 cm dilated. He could feel Baby C's head, which mean that she is LOW LOW LOW (about 2-3 inches from seeing the light of day). So...what does this all mean? Well, my body is beginning the labor process...THANK YOU GOD that I don't labor hard as so many women do. (I'm lucky that I will walk around dilating while some women lay in pain for hours just to dilate...ouch!) I will go back to the doctor next week to see if there is any more progression. Looks like Baby C will be here before we know it!

Big C's 2 Year Stats
Ok, so this post is a little over due, but I needed to document his stats before I forget...I blame it on the pregnancy brain! Big C is 29 lbs which puts him in the 55th percentile for weight. He is 34.5 inches tall which puts him into the 75th percentile for weight. Currently, he has been fighting a sinus infection, but other wise is a completely healthy child! His pediatrician was amazed that in two years he has only ever been on ONE prescription!
What's Big C up to now? Well, first and fore most.....TALKING!! Here are a few phrases and words that we hear most often:
What's Big C up to now? Well, first and fore most.....TALKING!! Here are a few phrases and words that we hear most often:

- "CHEEEEEEESE Mom"
- Big C can name all Mickey Mouse Clubhouse characters along with the characters on Handy Manny.
- Big C can almost all the way undress himself, shirts are still a little hard for him.
- He is such a great help! He helps to take the dishes out from the dishwasher and hands them to me to put away.
- He puts the clothes from the washer into the dryer after I hand them to him.
- Big C has mastered many different facial expressions, including how to wink and raise one eyebrow at a time...something neither Curt nor I can do!

The New Kate Out and About
Kate Gosselin not only is sporting her $7,000 hair extensions, she will also debuting a new show in a few months.
She will be returning to TLC later this year in a new reality show that stars...well, her. No kids. No Jon. The show will be about her trying new jobs and new things..not so much of her being "mom"...and how she acts in those new environments. This should be interesting, but I'm wondering what happened with the show she was supposed to be doing with Paula Dean. However, I'm not surprised if that fell through...organic Kate with MORE BUTTER Paula? That is less than a match then Kate and Jon!

Big C's BIG Birthday!
This little...ugh...BIG GUY had a BIG birthday party this weekend! Can you tell he is excited?! Oh...and just to warn you, this will be a "picture tour" of his birthday.
His birthday party started out with a slumber party with cousin Collin. These two are seriously so cute together, they are attached to the hip when hanging out together.

Collin and Big C shared a dual birthday party. Collin's side was decorated in trains and Big C's side was decorated in Mickey Mouse. To see more of Collin's decorations, you can visit my sister's blog. The food table...YUM!
More of the food table....
Big C's "Big Top Cupcake" cake...with little cupcakes surrounding it. We didn't have ice cream, but we had ice cream flavored popcorn from my favorite place, Not Just Popcorn.
Close up of his 'cup cake'. It had Mickey Mouse edible confetti on it too. YUMMY! There was no left over cake I am proud to say...especially since I made it!

The Amazon Kindle
Boy was I spoiled this year for Christmas! Not only did I get a FANTASTIC gift from my husband (who really out did himself and spoiled me!) I received many wonderful gifts from family members too. One gift that I have spent many time on is my Kindle. As many of you know, I am pretty serious about reading...I never go without a book that I am "right in the middle of." The Kindle is the perfect solution to my overstocked bookshelf!
Not only can it store up to 1500 books...it can also download magazines, newspapers..and yes...BLOGS!! (I have downloaded a wide range...any where from all of the Twilight books..my first purchase...to 'Pride and Prejudice...to The Bible.....to one of my favorite blogs.) In the long run, it will save us some money because the books are cheaper to purchase. You can also download a sample of the book for FREE! (Some books are completely free too!) The Kindle is small in size, light weight, and easily fits in my 'mega' purse with room to spare! I can go on and on about how much I love my Kindle! (I won't go into all of the features...such as web access, immediate downloading, dictionary access, audio options, not to mention saving some trees by 'going green', etc, etc!) Here is my Kindle in comparison to my...ahem....magazine.
Now...don't get me wrong, I am IN LOVE with my Kindle. However there are some situations that it is better to have an actual book than the Kindle. For instance, I love to take a bath and read in the bath...Kindle in the bath? Not a good idea! Also, I want to instill in my children the love of reading and what better way to do that than to have them SEE their mother reading a book? To Big C...the Kindle looks like a big cell phone. I still get out books to read so that he sees me with a book. I also wouldn't take a Kindle to the beach...sand and water, enough said! AND...I must admit...the book worm/nerd in my loves the smell of new books! I can still loose my self in a book store for hours just browsing!

Random Tid Bits
This boy has a very big birthday celebration tomorrow for his 2nd birthday!
I saw this "Big Top Cupcake" that makes HUGE cupcakes...boasting that they are 25 times bigger than the regular cupcakes. I decided to make Big C's 'cake' like a did last year, but this year a HUGE cupcake...I'll let you know how that turns out.

New 'Do...Love or Hate?
Kate Gosselin is starting over...with a new hair do! In People magazine available on Friday, Kate is sporting a much longer hair do and....gasp...no spikes!
Apparently, it took celeb hairstylist Ted Gibson nearly 20 hours to add the hundreds of hair extensions. Kate says:
"I'm starting over. It's good to have hair again. I never thought I'd have short hair for as long as I did. I feel like this is a fresh start, a fresh me, a fresh life. I"m rebuilding. There's no option for this not to be a good year. Now I get to start over with a new self and new goals."
