Flip Flops Aren't Just For Your Feet!

Big C and I were doing a bit of shopping yesterday and I came across this adorable idea for drink coasters/ drink markers for parties. You all know I love a theme and I thought that these were just too cute!

I immediately pictured myself, surrounded by friends, sitting on our new patio...the men playing corn hole, the dogs chasing each other in the yard, and the ladies sipping our summer cocktails and never having to ask ..."Who's drink is this?" or "Is this my drink?" All while being impossibly stylish themed.
Then I remembered...the patio is a just a hole in the ground.....the dogs knock everyone over...making the children cry.....it's so hot that you never put your drink down...and we have a long way to go to be "stylish".
However....the flip flop coasters are a start!

Chia...huh?

Have you seen this?!

It is the special edition Chia Obama. I literally almost fell on the floor in a puddle of my own urine from laughing so hard when I saw this on TV. The commercial stated that the Chia Obama was a sign of "Liberty, Opportunity, Prosperity, and Hope."

In that case....I'm buying 10!
Guess you all know what you are getting for Christmas this year!

Play Date Wednesday

Big C had a play date today with my friend's nephew, Jameson. Jameson was born 5 days before Big C. After Big C warmed up...taking a total of 15 minutes....the boys would watch what the other one was doing, and then copy it. At one point, they were both running around the back yard screaming at the top of their lungs and just laughing hysterically! It was so fun to see how Big C interacts with other children, especially great since there were almost exactly the same age. At one point, they were sitting on the deck, talking to each other....my heart melted! We should have known that they would be best buds especially since they were dressed almost identical in their their orange shirts!

Jameson on the left, Big C on the right.
Big C: "High five, dude."
Jameson: "Best Buds 4 life, yo."

Sampson went along with us to play with their new puppy, Gertie. She is a 9 week old Wiemaraner...so cute...so full of energy. Sampson is now trying to recuperate.

I'm assuming that the blanket over the head means "Do NOT Disturb."

Blog Hop: Favorite Photo

Mr. Linky is doing a blog hop of favorite pictures. You simply link the post from your blog on your favorite picture and....voila! You are connected to so many wonderful pictures and create new friends and new blog reads.

I had a hard time choosing a favorite picture...but this has to be one of my most recent favorite pictures. This is Big C petting the kittens at my parent's house. Big C has a wild side...most toddler boys do...but I thought that this picture captured his sweet side.

Notice the kitten in the background thinking...."Glad it's not me!"

Happy Belated 4th of July!

We spent the weekend at my parent's house for the 4th of July. We made it to the parade, but it rained later on that day. Big C is worn out today from the busy weekend. He not only slept a full 12 hours last night, but he also is taking a 4 HOUR nap! Since I had so much time on my hands, I began to get nostalgic and decided to look at some old pictures of Big C when he wasn't so big.
Here he is exactly one year ago...last 4th of July. I guess you could call him....mini-Big C.

Now for this year's 4th of July....the truly BIG Big C.
I understand that they have to grow up....but does it have to be so fast?!

Triple the Fun

Last weekend we visited our cousins who were blessed with not one....not two...but THREE little miracle babies! When we first go to the house...all was quiet....eerily quiet. The babies were ALL sleeping! Surely enough, one by one, they each woke up and we got to play with them and feed them. They are just beginning to start baby food and I was the lucky one who got to feed them. Three babies, one jar of food, and one hungry toddler equals a big balancing act! Big C was playing across the room, but sure enough, as soon as he smelled food he came running! Notice where Big C is in each of the pictures...he keeps moving closer and closer to the food.

Harper, Arden, and Emerson waiting for me to quickly give them their carrots. Big C checking out the food.

Big C is trying to climb in my lap to get the food...hmm...you would have never guessed that just an hour before he ate two pieces of french toast, yogurt, a banana, and milk!
We had such a great time playing with the babies and visiting with their parents. I have a WHOLE new respect for parents of multiples!
My little bottomless pit is enough!

An Idea

Ever watch the TLC show "18 Kids and Counting"?

Well, I've been semi-addicted to it. Jim-Bob and Michell Duggar have 18 KIDS!! She gave birth to each and every one of them. I just can't even imagine...on top of that....NO TV! I mean...they are on TV, but they don't watch TV. No putting on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for these little ones!

The oldest son, Josh and his wife Anna are expecting their first child....first of many I am guessing.
They had a very unique way to tell their families...and most of America (they told them on the Today Show) the gender of their baby. They had a cake made with the cake batter dyed the color for the gender of their baby. Pink for a girl and blue for a boy. When they cut into the cake, surprise! I thought that this was such a cute idea! Anyone who is having a baby, feel free to steal this idea.
By the way...they are having a:
